Last week, SemiDomesticated and our friends at Berg Burg hosted the third— fall edition of The Good Supper, and ‘Wholy Goodness’ was this a good one! On what was likely the last of this year’s balmy, hot days with temperatures rising above 30ºC, we bid farewell to summer and welcomed autumn with a big bang—an explosion of color and flavor in the form of a vegan Mexi-Cali feast, prepared lovingly by the one and only Jessica Prescott, author of the blog Wholy Goodness and hot-off-the-press cookbook, Vegan Goodness.
Flowers, salsas, chips, cocktails, wine, food, tea, coffee, music and decor—all of it came together perfectly to create this technicolor symphony of a night to be remembered. To make the evening extra special, Thirsty Moon teegarten was there to take us through a purifying and digestive tea ceremony with PU ERH tea from ancient Chinese trees. In addition, we had chef Prescott’s drool-inducing new book available for pre-sale and a stunning, hand-woven Tunisian rug from Berberlin for sale (and they sold!)—all with proceeds going towards the amazing work by our selected charity, Welcome Mamas.
Berg Burg and SemiDomesticated would like to extend a huge, big thank you, to all of our partners (complete list below), our guests, and everyone who helped make this evening happen—and last, but not least, to Rebecca Crawford for these stunning photos of the night. THANK YOU!!!
The Good Supper was founded with the wish to give something back to our community, and to our newly arrived neighbors; the growing group of Berlin-based refugees. The aim of The Good Supper is also to create an evening to excite the senses through a carefully curated ambiance, delectable food and drinks, inspiring entertainment and presentations. The event is an opportunity for people from all paths to get together and network, share and converse – all in the name of a good cause.
